Initially, I wanted to share my story in its entirety in the hopes of helping others.

I quickly realized in this feat that I just wanted to be heard. My new perception changed the purpose of this book. I have removed much of my personal story with narcissistic behaviour in the hopes of eliminating the trauma-porn to allow space for understanding, clarity and planning. The pieces I have left intact are there for the purpose of relatability and education.

Inside you will find chapters dedicated to red flags observed in a narcissistic relationship. This is not a complete list of every single red flag, but it is enough for you to observe instances when you have to leave the relationship to begin healing. Additionally, there are pages for journaling and a safety plan to help you carefully actualize your exit.

This book is not designed to make you an expert in narcissistic personality disorder either. Whether you are in a relationship with a regular old abuser or someone with a diagnosed narcissistic personality disorder - it does not matter. What matters is that you are able to seek support to help you make a more informed decision about your safety because your partner is not a safe person.

It is about helping someone make sense of their situation and providing tools to uncover the courage they already have to make some tough decisions.

These cycles will not break themselves. This is just a start. And even when you don't believe in yourself - I believe in you.
