Zeturnisc Li and the Curse of Nevertime

Nia Dare's arrival on Aqua Plata has been prophesied for decades. She is destined to liberate the fairy island, renew the Opal's power, and unite the world with her magic. She is the hero they are waiting for.

But Nia does not want to be a hero. She longs to return to her life on Earth, where she never had to worry about prophecies and failing magical talismans. When her hidden magic begins to surface, Nia fears that she does not belong in either world.

A hundred years earlier, Fairy Prince Zeturnisc Li manifested the rarest ability of all fairykind. He is a Time Seer. Nia must also seek guidance from Spiraltail. She learns that the Fairy Seers-Zet and Tian-have been missing for over two months, captured while searching for the Opal. It is Nia's mission to rescue them and restore power to the Opal before the island is destroyed. Even when her best friends, Leah and Ella, are taken by the enemy, Nia holds on to hope that the prophecy will guide her.

Previously, Tian foresaw a plague that would devastate the fairies. In his attempt to protect Zet, Tian failed to see the true cost: Rome's death. Grief made Zet's powers spin out of control, and rumors began to spread that he was insane. Desperate to escape, Zet turned to experimenting with dangerous magic: learning to pull others into his dreams and creating new spells. The brothers are compelled to search for the Opal and are captured, imprisoned, and tortured by a phantom wizard.
