Simon Dyson is a British-born author, full-time caregiver, and founder of Billy's Farm of Hopes and Dreams - a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit farm sanctuary being built in South Michigan for hundreds of special needs adults, children, and the caregivers who love them. For 23 years Simon has devoted his life to his son Billy, who has cerebral palsy, is nonverbal, and has a seizure disorder - oxygen deprived at birth with significant brain damage. He is also the proud father of Harry and Mia, Billy's twin sister. After battling alcohol addiction as a direct consequence of caregiver burnout, Simon got sober on July 22, 2023 and competed in The Munga - one of the world's toughest ultra-endurance cycling races - 852 kilometres across the South African Karoo desert alone.
