Vampires in Literature; a Foreword to the Collection with Poetry

This book, A Foreword to the Collection, begins an invaluable and comprehensive collection

of early vampire works.

We set the stage by touching on historical events such as Jure Grando, which may be the first ever mention of a vampire. We highlight folklore and take a deserved look at real historical events such as Vlad the Impaler and Countess Elizabeth Bathory.

We even peek at vampires in film, theatre, and more.

Also included are early works of vampire poetry that should not be overlooked.

What was the first vampire mention in comic books?

What did French philosopher Voltaire say about vampires?

Should you believe in the undead?

Whet your appetites; this is just the bloody beginning.
