In 1998, Cassie Holman loses her eight-year-old son, Garrett, at the local school carnival.

27 years later, Cassie is eight months pregnant and preparing to move forward with a new family when she receives a VHS tape on her doorstep. The first of several mysterious tapes. On the first tape is eight-year-old Garrett in a basement with a hooded figure.

As the tapes continue to wedge themselves into her life, Cassie is sent spiraling back into her dark past she buried years ago. Could her abusive dad or the disgraced father of Garrett have been the ones to take him from her life?

With the vision of her new life fading, Cassie must explore who is on these tapes and face a glimmering hope that her son is still alive all these years later.
