The Odd Smell

A black mist has settled over Fun Land. Jess, Bill, and Bell can smell something isn't right. There's a strange chill in the air. The amusement park, which is usually a place to have fun, is dark and creepy. What is causing the mist, and can it be stopped? Or will Fun Land be a house of horrors forever? As the adventure unfolds, striving readers practice decoding words featuring final double consonants, as well as -s as an inflectional verb ending and -s and -es as inflectional noun endings. Every Spark Decodables book serves older readers who need practice with foundational literacy skills, combining multiple aspects of the Science of Reading to support small group instruction, independent reading, and reading practice at home.
