Summer of the Blue Jay

What would you do with the last 24 hours of your life?

For Tina, a nineteen-year-old girl with an impossible dream, the answer is simple: escape. With her last hours ticking away, she and a fellow patient, Jake, make a desperate run from the hospital and steal a car, determined to live a lifetime in a single day. Their destination: New York City. As their frantic parents follow their trail, Tina and Jake embark on a breathtaking whirlwind tour of the city, from the quiet lawns of Central Park to the blinding lights of Times Square. Every stop is a stolen moment, a defiant act of living and loving against an impossible deadline. But as the sun sets and the city lights flicker to life, they find themselves in a desperate race towards a final, symbolic destination. In a story of breathtaking joy and heartbreaking urgency, Summer of the Blue Jay asks if a single day can hold more meaning than an entire lifetime.
