When Marie Parker, known to her friends as Parker, is selected to attend the local private academy on scholarship, she must face the challenges of being the new kid... again. She must find a way to overcome the difficulties and differences between her and her fellow classmates in order to ensure a more comfortable high school experience so she isn't a loner at St. Andrew's Academy, or worse, the New Kid forever.

Between this and her old friends from the public school vying for her attention, it's bound to be an interesting year for Parker, especially once she suspects one of her new classmates might be close to the person she blames for her life falling apart.

While navigating her now larger friend group, she must deal with the obstacles facing her or risk returning to the public school and leaving her new friends, and the opportunity this scholarship provides, behind.
