Asked to provide a script for a show about the town's history for a centennial event Duncan is pleased. But he soon discovers that the town harbours a dark and salacious secret in its past that he is not allowed to mention. Gradually he meets people who are investigating the history of the shocking annual fair that is being concealed, and some of the men and girls who were involved. Can he avoid revealing the unpalatable truth?
