Jon Ho is a diminutive, first-generation Japanese-American man who dresses and lives as a woman. He has a loving and accepting mother but a stern, disapproving father. Jon finds comfort in friendships with people who accept him, and a special relationship with Myra Kaye Morgan, who protects him, makes him laugh, and comforts him when his on-again, off-again relationship with a straight man isn't going well. Jon and Myra are joined by a full ensemble of characters whose lives intersect in quirky-and sometimes mouthy-fun. Myra is a former college athlete turned paralegal and is beginning her path to metaphysical awareness when she meets Jon. Their friendship carries them to new heights of thought and emotion, and the role they play in each other's lives is beyond anything they have experienced.
