Charles H. Sessions was an early-20th-century landowning businessman who named his dairy creamery after his wife, Lynne Wood. Her name would also grace the remarkable city that he pioneered, Lynwood. Early settlers, visionary residents, and city officials through the years have all helped Lynwood develop into a two-time All-America City Award winner.
