Linda Kelleher, or Lilou, faces a dilemma. She is a regular Pittsburgh girl, growing up in the beautiful Shadyside neighborhood. She looks up to her older sister, tries to meet her mother's expectations and loves to study math with her father.

Only...something is never quite right. No matter how hard she tries to lead a regular life, the world of sorcery and magic has a claim on her: Lilou comes from a powerful family of witches.
