This is a study made in that neighborhood of White mill workers with a focus on religious beliefs and practice in the late 1960s and early 1970s. People were protesting the integration of schools, civil rights, the ban on Bible reading and prayer in the schools, and women's rights in ERA and Roe v. Wade. It gives descriptions of Baptist and Holiness churches, faith healing, spirit possession, and conversion experiences.
