Early Gravestones of a Colonial Town: Killingworth, Connecticut

This book documents and photographically records gravestones in Killingworth, Connecticut.The majority of stones depicted are in present Killingworth. Killingworth, however, once included present Killingworth and the town of Clinton to the south, and was settled as the Plantation of Hammonasset in 1663. Thus, some gravestones including the earliest in Clinton are included. In addition, a portion of Durham was once a part of Killingworth and some stones in Durham are shown when they have a relationship to Killingworth or illustrate noteworthy stylistic features.
