For Rahab, the wedding would prove to be the easy part. The transition from a harlot in Jericho to a wife in one of the most prominent families in Israel could not have been greater. In Jericho, a baby was a four-letter word and was avoided at all costs, especially for someone in Rahab's line of work. In Israel, having babies-plural-was every woman's dream. Every marriage has hurdles to overcome. In Rahab's marriage, the mental hurdles were huge.

But just as everywhere, someone else always has a tougher life. The Bedouin clan, from the first book, A Harlot Bride, fills that role. For them, survival is never guaranteed as they struggle to integrate the remnants of several clans into their new clan.
