Ancestral Echoes

Na'Kiima Reid from Cincinnati

Debuts her first collection of poetry

Selections on trauma, resiliency

And ancestry

Written from her mind, heart, and some selections

That came through in her dreams

Some whimsical, some spiritual but

All of it her truths

Poems written from a long span of time

From now to back

When she was a youth

Since writing is the form in which

She expresses herself the most

Featuring the selection, 'On Beauty, '

Dedicated to her step-father,

Murdered by police brutality,

Samuel DuBose

So take a peak into these

Selections of poems

Of rhythm, heart, and soul

And get lost in their prose
