A Writer's Spiritual Journey: Conversations with Waterfalls, Bears, Shrines, and Shiva

While traveling in Nepal and India in 1990, the author was intrigued by religious shrines everywhere. Her curiosity aroused, she decided to build a mountain shrine path on her land near Pecos, New Mexico. The research on various eastern religions to synthesize into shrines made her realize she had barely scratched the surface. This led to enrolling in the Eastern Studies graduate program at St John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

In 2006, the author was invited to give a lecture at St. John's College for the St. John's College Library & Fine Arts Guild's Speaking Volumes Lecture Series. She was the featured alumni speaker. This book grew out of that lecture. The author discusses the process of writing and how St. John's College influenced the writing of her first book, Divine Rainbow: Nature as Spiritual Teacher. She also discusses the story of her spiritual journey as explored in that book, with its underlying philosophy that the separation of humans and nature is a contemporary delusion.
