Some of these poems embody and embrace the angst and futility in life for a depressed person. As poetry, these pieces will have a different impact and interpretation for each person who reads them. Chris Miller was reared a Christian, receiving a degree in Religion and a Masters degree in Social Sciences from Hollins University. Due to a putrid faith experience at his undergraduate university, he became very depressed. To cope with this he went headlong into biblical criticism. On the undergraduate level he studied Koine Greek and classical Hebrew. He was very intense about biblical studies and theology. He has eighteen credit hours of graduate study in Religion, including further study in Hebrew. He is presently working on a Masters Degree in Counselor Education at Radford University. In his early twenties he became interested in Buddhism. This helped him tremendously in innumerable ways and continues to be very helpful with many aspects of living. He has always been interested in theology, psychology, quantum theory, astronomy, sociology, and critical theory. These have kept his head in the books for years.
