When Orlock puts a pen to paper, his poetry can be irreverent, funny, clever, crazy, even political, and then suddenly so deep and poetic that readers scramble to understand how what has just happened has happened. He has published three books of poetry up to this point, and his fourth book, Con/verse/sations with Myself, is just as sharp and delightful as this poet laureate's other volumes. For those who do not like poetry, God help you if you pick up this book and read it. You're going to like it anyway. For those deep into the poetry world, hold on and don't feel like you ought to be serious as you read what poetry ought to be in the 21st century.
