Shootings, raves, robberies ... during his years on the force, Detective Allen Miar has seen it all--or at least that's what he was led to believe. So, when the chief himself puts a seemingly unsolvable case in Allen's hands, he has no problem accepting it. Afterall, his caseload has been a snooze fest, and "unsolvable" is his middle name.

Allen soon discovers just how wrong he was when the case plunges him into a world he didn't know existed: a paranormal underbelly that lurks in every shadow of his Texas town. Now it seems like no one is safe. Not even an old pro like him.
