The Rockwoods have five cats: Maya, Kona, Mele, Leo and Bella. Maya loves to patrol the neighborhood. She often catches chipmunks and other critters. Today, she brings back a baby bird. The baby bird is hurt; he may have fallen from a tree. The Rockwoods make him a bed from tissues and give him some food. Soon the baby bird is all better, and he flies away! Later, the Rockwoods are visited by a little blue jay, just like the one they helped. Could this be the same blue jay? Has their little baby bird come home? About the Author

Gary R. Rockwood, Jr. spent most of his childhood in Hawaii. After graduating from the University of Hawaii, he moved to California then Fargo, North Dakota where he met his wife, Kim. Together they have a son, Gary Rockwood III and a daughter, Georgia. Gary and his wife currently reside in the Chicago area.
