This is the teacher's guide to Parashat Hashavua: Reading Genesis

Students practice Hebrew reading as they become familiar with the twelve parashiyot of the Book of Genesis. Each of the twelve chapters features selected verses in Hebrew and English, a summary of the characters and events, a review of the parashah, and opportunities to read, write, and translate Hebrew. Comprehension activities and probing questions stimulate students' critical thinking skills. Includes root and vocabulary exercises.
