Gun Violence 101 will build on American Carnage and other books that counter the National Rifle Association's forty-year campaign to convince Americans that having a gun in the home or carrying a gun makes them safer.

The evidence is overwhelming that this is not the case and that guns in the home, for example, are far more likely to be used against a family member or in a suicide attempt than against an intruder. Gun Violence 101 is the first illustrated book presenting a research-based overview of guns and gun violence to the non-expert.
