Davis describes the project as by far the most personal he has attempted as he seeks to return himself and us to those crushing and beautiful days when as a boy he relocated from upstate New York to Athens, Georgia. Normaltown includes 177 photographs and 5 essays by Davis about what it means to search for our past. Also included is a 45 vinyl record with two original songs written and sung by Davis while roaming through Georgia in search of his true point of departure.
