Why We Write Roadshow, Costa Mesa

Sep 17, 2018

We took our Why We Write project on the road with an Orange County Tour. Live events were produced throughout Orange County and featured author readings from curated essay submissions. This event was recorded live at The LAB Anti-Mall in Costa Mesa, California. Produced in partnership with Brew SessionsAnaheim Packing District and The LAB

Inspired by George Orwell’s 1946 essay “Why I Write,” we developed an introspective project to highlight our motives for writing and asked the international community to share their story and join the conversation.Over the last month, this collaborative project received submissions from Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, Denmark, England, India, Indonesia, Israel, Malta, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Scotland, Singapore, United Kingdom, and 33 States in America.
