David Galef is the author of novels such as How to Cope with Suburban Stress (The Permanent Press), short story collections including My Date with Neanderthal Woman (Dzanc Books), poetry collections such as Kanji Poems (Word Poetry), and most recently Brevity: A Flash Fiction Handbook (Columbia University Press). He is also a professor at Montclair State University, and writes the humor column "U of All People" for Inside Higher Ed.
