Amy Stolls is the Literature Director for the National Endowment for the Arts, where she is involved in programs such as the National Book Festival and Big Read program; former environmental journalist; writer of a blog about the Old Post Office of the United States, and author of the novels Palms to the Ground (Farrar, Straus & Giroux) and The Ninth Wife (HarperCollins).
