Willy Hayes, one of the main characters in\u003cem\u003e Ochoco Reach\u003c\/em\u003e, makes her first appearance as a fictional character in \u003cem\u003eEarly to Rise\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAppearing for the first time anywhere is the story \u003cem\u003eBleeding Alder\u003c\/em\u003e, featuring a young Mike Ironwood, the forthright hero from \u003cem\u003eOchoco Reach\u003c\/em\u003e. After \u003cem\u003eWhite Ravens\u003c\/em\u003e comes \u003cem\u003eJoshua's Tree\u003c\/em\u003e, the second Ironwood novel.
