I had never heard anything\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eremotely like what he was doing with his music. I was transported\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003einto the first heaven I had ever known.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThat musical experience awakened me to the realization\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethat life itself is a stream, a river, an eternal flowng that\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eforever surrounds us and infuses us and carries us through\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ewaves of music, which only sometimes do we become aware\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eof. Life is a RIVERSONG filled with light, fire, and beauty.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLife itself is that RIVERSONG.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAs my life streamed on, other adventures appeared\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eto me in that music flow - such as running away from\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ehome in Big Spring west Texas as a 14-year-old boy, hitchhiking\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eto Memphis, stealing a row boat, and sailing down\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethe Mississippi River.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThat journey was the first of many adventures that\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eriver-streamed through my life, including learning how to\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003edrink beer as a college student, how to make love, and, later\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eon, how to play guitar, which hearkened me back to the music\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eof Chet Atkins.
